Community athletic facilities and sports fields have become more than school amenities with expansion of youth and adult club sports beyond schools’ individual uses. The opportunity to create a low-maintenance facility capable of high play volume provides value for the client through reduced maintenance costs and the ability to collect user fees. Our team of planners, architects, and engineers has extensive experience in sports field design with clients ranging from Lincoln and Sam Barlow high schools to Concordia and Portland State universities. We are familiar with all points of the development process, from the feasibility/funding phase to project opening. Several projects have centered on the conversion from grass to artificial turf. Our team has also redesigned grandstands and lighting to improve visibility.
