Design Philosophy
Meeting clients’ project goals through an active, collaborative process is the principle behind client responsive design.
Our clients tell us, “Group Mackenzie knows my business and what I want.” That’s because we listen. We don't force a design on a client that isn't right for their business. We listen to clients' needs, address their concerns, and design projects in response to their goals.
All design decisions are collaborative, based on close consultation and client reviews. And the collaborative process doesn’t stop there. From the moment you walk in our door, you’ll see that it’s not unusual for one of our structural engineers to be working side by side with an architect or a civil engineer to be teaming with a land use planner.
We talk to each other. We challenge each other. We learn from each other. We incorporate the best thinking from all of our disciplines to produce designs that are easier to build, more efficient, sustainable, and economically feasible.
Our portfolio is diverse and reflects our ability to work closely with a variety of clients and communities. Whether the project is a building or site; our focus is on designing to the client's needs. The end result is a design that meets specific business goals and is creative, efficient, practical, and, most importantly, buildable. We don’t design for design’s sake, but for our clients.
